Did you spot Ed Sheeran wearing a GAA jersey in the new Bridget Jones movie?
UNLESS YOU’VE BEEN living under a rock, you’ll know that a third Bridget Jones film, Bridget Jones’ Baby, has just hit cinemas.
Renée Zellweger is back as the titular singleton and Colin Firth returns as the dashing Mr Darcy – but there’s also a cameo from one Ed Sheeran.
The singer pops up at a music festival Bridget attends – earlier in the year, it was revealed that the scenes of Ed performing were filmed during his gigs at Croke Park.
What we didn’t know, however, was that the final film would feature footage in which he was sporting a GAA jersey:
GAAGO GAAGO
He’s not showing any particular county affiliation, unfortunately (but if he did, we imagine it would be Wexford) – the jersey belongs to GAAGO, RTÉ’s international GAA streaming service.
G’wan Ed! Representing the GAA all over the world.
